Maria Staump is from the East County of San Diego. She grew up in El
Cajon, eventually moved to Lakeside, and now currently lives in Santee.
She is an ASCAP registered composer, songwriter, educator, performer,
publisher, and business owner in Santee, California. She is always
finding new ways to grow and challenge herself as a composer and
business owner. She teaches private music lessons out of her project
studio in Santee. She performs lead vocals, guitar, and piano with The
Maria Staump Band, and performs regularly as a solo artist at local
restaurants and businesses around town. Her passion is composition and
she records and performs all of her own music.
Maria is the Director of Education for Staump Productions LLC Music
School Santee. She has been a music teacher for over six years. Maria
teaches private lessons for guitar, piano, voice, trumpet, and violin.
Maria will instruct all ages, from beginning to advanced, and
specializes in teaching composition, songwriting, performance, and
recording techniques. Maria has a degree in music, and has studied from
Steve Lorentz, George Svoboda, Dr. Randall Tweed, and Fred Benedetti.
Maria can teach any genre of music, and will make sure you are learning
the music you love.
Maria has done clinics for West Hills High School in Santee, and
currently teaches the after school Guitar Ensemble at Lakeside Middle
School. This class is sponsored by the Taylor Guitars for Schools
program. Maria has been a part of NAMM's Music Education Days, is a
member of MTNA, Music Teachers National Association, and MENC, the
National Association for Music Education.
